AVE Plasencia – Malpartida de Plasencia

Good news to start the year. Together with our colleagues in Lurpelan Tunnelling and in a temporary consortium with other companies, we have been awarded the works to build the high speed line for the section between Malpartida de Plasencia and the station of Plasencia/Fuentidueñas (Caceres).
The work includes a 10.38 kilometre long double-track platform, for mixed traffic, designed for a maximum speed of 300 kilometres per hour for passenger trains and a minimum speed of 100 kilometres per hour for freight trains. The execution term is 28 months.
The contract includes, amongst others, earthmoving (clearing, filling, grading) and draining works as well as the construction of various structures (tunnel, over- and underpasses, draining works, wildlife crossings and walls, amongst others). Any affected roads and services will be restored and corrective measures for the environmental impact will be adopted.
Adif AV has pointed out that these works contribute to achieving Sustainable Development Goal 9 (SDG 9), whose targets include developing reliable, sustainable and quality infrastructures.
