Viuda de Sainz joins the CLIC Project to promote industrialised, sustainable and digital construction
The company is part of this national R&D initiative, aimed at improving the competitiveness of industrialised construction through scientific and technical knowledge.
The transformation of the construction sector increasingly relies on applied innovation. It is within this context that Viuda de Sainz is participating in the CLIC Project (Local, Integrated and Compatible Construction), a national industrial R&D initiative that seeks to accelerate the evolution of construction towards a more industrialised, sustainable and digital model.
The project was launched with a clear objective: to improve competitiveness in the construction of industrialised housing through the development and integration of scientific and technical knowledge. To this end, CLIC focuses on some of the major challenges currently facing the sector, such as digital interoperability, reducing environmental impact and promoting an industrial fabric based on microfactories and distributed manufacturing.
CLIC proposes a new way of understanding construction, based on the interoperability of modular systems and adaptation to the needs and characteristics of each region. It is an approach that combines innovation, efficiency and sustainability, with the aim of providing real solutions to the present and future challenges of the construction industry.
The initiative is organised through a collaborative network comprising clusters, technology centres and SMEs, which work in a coordinated manner to develop a more competitive construction model that is better equipped to meet new market demands. The central theme of the project is the progressive integration of knowledge across six key areas, ranging from management and communication to applied research into compatibility, sustainability, digitalisation and industrial logistics.
Among the expected outcomes of the CLIC Project is the definition of a structured framework for industrialised construction, supported by tools and content that facilitate its implementation in the market. Specifically, the project envisages the development of technical guidelines, the study of different digital architectures, the drafting of roadmaps and the production of scientific publications that contribute to consolidating this new construction model.
Through its participation in CLIC, Viuda de Sainz reaffirms its commitment to innovation as a real driver of change in the construction sector, actively contributing to a transformation of the sector based on knowledge, collaboration and the practical application of more advanced, efficient and sustainable solutions.
